In partnership with Nokia worldwide, Al Bannai Group has officially opened the first ever Nokia maintenance centre in the Middle East 'Service City' - at a cost of AED 15M.
'Service City' comprised a Regional Repair Factory, which handles selected maintenance and logistics concept for 19 countries, a Regional Training Centre to train selected Middle East technicians in the service network, and a Regional 'Competence Centre' to carry out hand-sets analysis and high end service solutions.
Located in Al Rashidiya near Dubai International Airport,'Service City' spans 25,000 Square feet and employs over 100 qualified and experienced staff. It's responsible for specialized maintenance across 19 countries from Middle East and North Africa countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, Syria and Yemen. The centre follows the Nokia's global standards and is equipped with the latest high tech machinery.
VisionSoft has signed an agreement with 'Service City' for the implementation of the Oracle based 'QuickServe' Service Management solution covering the system modules of Service Order functions, Engineering activities, Dispatch scheduling, Warranty and Non Warranty Tracking, Customer Invoice Generation and Management Information Reporting.
The 'Service City' Project also involves the implementation of the Vision 2000 Business Solutions - ERP for the back office requirements of Finance System covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Logistics System covering Purchases Management, Spare Parts Sales Management, Inventory Management, Physical Stock Take and Management Information Reports.
The Success factor behind Service City's implementation of the above systems involved its own 'do-check-process' approach, where all employees, consultants, right upto the top management, had involvement in setting up objectives and targets at all functional and system processes levels.
